What is the PTA?
The PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) is a volunteer group of parents, teachers, and staff working together to support students and strengthen our school community.

Do I have to attend meetings to be in the PTa?
While our PTA meetings are the best way to stay informed, you don’t need to attend them to be in the PTA! You can help by volunteering at events, donating supplies, joining a committee, or simply staying informed via our website and facebook page.

How do I join the PTA?
It’s easy—just fill out our membership form and pay a small annual fee. You don’t have to volunteer to be a member (but we’d love it if you did!).

Where does the PTA's fundraising money go?
Funds help cover things like teacher appreciation, school events, bringing down the cost of field trips, classroom supplies, and enrichment programs for students.

What events does the PTA host?
We organize a variety of events throughout the year, including Chalk the Walk, Popsicles on the Playground, GatorThon, Skate Night, Me & My VIP Breakfast, Color Run, Books & Breakfast, and more. Check our calendar for the full list!

Can grandparents, guardians, or other relatives participate?
Yes! Any caring adult in a child’s life is welcome to join the PTA and support our school.

We’d love to hear from you! Use our contact form below, email us directly, or attend our next meeting. We’re always open to new ideas.

How often does the PTA meet?
We typically meet once a month during the school year. Dates and times are posted on the calendar—everyone is welcome!

Can I volunteer even if I work full time or have limited availability?
Absolutely. There are opportunities for all schedules, including at-home tasks, weekend events, and one-time projects.

Do I need a background check to be a volunteer?
Yes. Chesterfield County Public Schools require all volunteers to complete a volunteer form and background check. Click here for more information on the school website.

What’s the difference between joining the PTA and volunteering?
Joining means you’re a supporting member and are encouraged to join our meetings to help shape future programs. We use the funds from PTA membership for our programs as well. volunteering is optional. You can do one or both!
